Hi, I'm Victoria, an AAT Qualified Accountant and founder of Sandstone Bookkeeping.
With over 20 years of hands-on experience — from junior accounting roles in small businesses to managing the finances of a care home — I’ve seen the power of strong financial systems up close. I’ve also seen how confusing, intimidating (and sometimes downright boring!) accounts can feel for business owners.
But here’s the thing, I LOVE the things most people hate – the reconciliations, making messy books tidy, analysing the numbers to tell a story – this is my happy place!
I’m not a typical accountant, no corporate suits or annoying jargon here. You’ll usually find me at my desk with a cup of tea, singing along to Taylor Swift, chatting to clients like old friends and jotting down notes in my Disney Princess stationery!
Of course, Sandstone Bookkeeping is not my only role - I'm also a proud mum, and family life is a huge part of who I am. Balance matters to me, and that's something I bring to my business too.
How Sandstone Bookkeeping Started
In 2023, someone suggested starting my own business. At the time I was working as a Finance Manager in a care home, having helped them navigate some very tricky times - including a global pandemic. I had always like the idea of running my own business, but never pursued it.
But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I could go from helping one business thrive, to helping many and as a helper at heart, this idea filled me with joy and Sandstone Bookkeeping was born.
The Social Care industry has always meant a lot to me, and I knew I wanted to stay connected to it in some way. That's why I chose to specialise in supporting businesses in the Health, Wellness and Social Care sectors - you could say I'm a helper to the helpers!
